CAB Membership

The CAB is Currently Conducting a Membership Drive!

The Community Advisory Board for the Nevada Test Site Programs (CAB) has completed its recruitment for 2008.  However, we accept applications at any time.  Applications submitted outside a recruitment period will be held until the next membership drive.

Download the Membership Application and submit your completed application: e-mail to ntscab@nv.doe.gov, fax to 702-295-5300, or mail to Community Advisory Board, 232 Energy Way, Mail Stop 505, North Las Vegas, NV 89030.

The CAB is a federally-chartered U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) advisory board made up of citizen volunteers from urban and rural communities in Southern Nevada.  CAB members meet bi-monthly to study and discuss environmental activities that take place at the Nevada Test Site and provide recommendations to the DOE Nevada Site Office Environmental Management Program.  The CAB is chartered to review and provide feedback on radioactive waste management/disposal and transportation activities, the effects of historic nuclear testing on the groundwater at the Nevada Test Site, and other environmental remediation activities.  However, the Board does not address issues related to DOE’s Yucca Mountain Project.

No related training or experience is required.

For further information on the CAB, contact the CAB Office at 702-657-9088 or ntscab@nv.doe.gov.
